Mars Grape vine bears early in age if allowed. Versatile and fast growing, a grapevine can bear in just two years. This grape needs full sun and tolerates a wide range of soil conditions, but must have good drainage. Mars, an introduction by the University of Arkansas, is one of the most resistant grape varieties to black rot and mildews. Fruit ripens in August
