AGAPANTHUS AFRICAN BLUE--STORM CLOUD BLUE FLOWERS ZONE 7

  • Perennial evergreen produces umbrellas of Blue flowers above green foliage with tinges of red in the winter months
  • 1-2 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide grouping
  • Flowers are main feature. Growing six inches wide with huge heads of deep blue flowers.
  • Flowers sit a foot taller than the evergreen foliage
  • Accent background plant in group plantings, edging and border, and good container specimen
  • Clumping perennial
  • Full sun to partial shade
  • Use as container plants and cut flowers or mass bed
  • Grow in fertile well drained soil
  • Slugs and snails in damp climates are problem with root and basal rot occurring when too wet.
  • Will not bloom or look uniform in full shade
  • Amount of Water: Water regularly; more frequent watering in extreme heat; Drought tolerant
  • Prefers dry, well-drained soil
