ORCHID LIPARIS GROSSA-Multiple Orange Blooms on Long Spikes Tropical Z 9+

  • Tribe Malaxideae which consists of Malaxis, Liparis, and Oberonia similar to Cattleya Alliance
  • Terrestrial or Epithyte species most species living high in tree branches
  • Found in the tropical parts of the Eastern Himalayas, Southern China, Assam, Vietnam, and the Phillipines
  • Grow in moist but not wet media of small bark, perlite, and sand
  • Blooms in Fall, a long spike with multiple beautiful orange clusters of blooms
  • Mounts well on slab
  • Grows 2-12" or so in height, but quickly grows "pups" in an ever widening bulb group
  • Treat as an Oncidium type Orchid
  • Tropical Zone 9+
