NEW UNIQUE REGAL RED JAPANESE PAINTED FERN Athyrium niponicum '

Zone 4-8, Height 8-20", DECIDUOUS, SPREADING.  We love it...handsome and uniform, this high-color selection is oour most requested painted fern.  The center of the fronds are burhundy red which contrasts with silvery green edges, giving an overall tapestry effect and the slightly twistinig pinnules give the frond a 'fluffed-up' look.  This trouble free perennial prefers evenly moist soils.
